You probably didn't notice since our store is still quite young, but we've updated all our preview renderings from the Mixamo dummy to a MetaHuman character. We hope this helps illustrate that all the animations are performed by real humans, with an emphasis on embodied performance.
Here's how the store looked with the old previews:

And here's the new layout:

Old versus new thumbnail GIFs:
With a large number of animations, getting a good quick glimpse of each one is essential. While the old Mixamo character worked well, we believe the new rendering better visualizes the human performance, since it's no longer an abstract figure. We also realize that bringing a more realistic character into the preview means viewers will already infer some details about the animation that an abstract figure wouldn't convey. With a human rendering, viewers immediately start asking who this character is, how he looks, and what motivates him. Hopefully our current preview character still leaves enough ambiguity to let you evaluate animations for use in your own projects.
Lastly, while we find this update to be a significant improvement, we're far from done. The background might still be too dark, and the shadows could use some work to better highlight the finer details in the character animations. So consider this a work in progress update. :)
What do you think? Is this an improvement, or did you prefer the abstract character version? Let us know in the comments.
